New Art :)

In  anticipation of my Etsy showcase on Saturday, I wanted to be sure I had a few more things done.  This little blue Treasure Box is similar to the red Trinket Box I did earlier.

Here's what it looks like completed:

And here's a miniature canvas I painted.  The canvas is painted on all visible angles.

This piece measures about 5"x7".  I like painting really large pieces, but the smaller ones are finished much more quickly than the bigger ones, are easier to package and cheaper to ship.

I call this one "Midnight Garden".

It's not as easily seen in this picture, but the white spots are fireflies.  Each firefly is a spiraling blend of yellows and white, which fade into green and blue around the edges.

What a busy weekend!  Only Friday night and I'm already tired.  We went to a nephew's wrestling match earlier (way to go, Josh! - He won 2 out of 3), and we will be getting up early tomorrow morning to go to a holiday movie party hosted by my employer.  That starts at 8:00.  Then we will go home, pick up the dogs and my recipe box, and head up north to bake Christmas cookies with Grandma Wahl.

I may need to take Monday off, so I can catch up on some sleep!

I guess idle hands are the devil's workshop, so it's good to be busy, right?
