Back to School, Back to Blogging

Yes, I can say that I really am back now. My two online classes started yesterday, so I am officially back to school. Two of my on-campus classes begin today, and with a two-hour gap between those it will not make sense for me to drive home so I guess I will have to write something during that break, right?

This summer has gone by so fast it is almost enough to make my head spin. My oldest son has been working and hanging out with his girlfriend, we did at least tour and pick a college for him to attend next year that we're happy with. My middle son has been working with Hubby when there's been jobs to go to, and he's been socking as much cash away as possible. I think he's beginning to realize how expensive it will be to go to college since we've been discussing it so much lately. My youngest is at that age where he doesn't seem to have anything to do, he's so bored all of the time! If it isn't a video game it isn't worth his time. I am really hoping he can develop some other interests this year since it's his first year of high school.

But beyond the business of transitioning into another school year, the shopping for new shoes, jeans and notebooks, I will admit that I am happy everyone willl now have something to do every day. Summer is a wonderful break, for a while, until the whining and arguing starts. What on earth ever made me believe that once the boys were teenagers that the whining would stop? If you are the parent of a small child, just get used to it. It never really does go away!

So true about your kids, they are born with it and they live with it the rest of their lives.
